Virtual Run Pairs to Wrong Device

When I start a Virtual Run activity, my 945 connects to my phone by default.  When I go the the Zwift pairing screen on my computer, the 945 is found and it gets "connected" in the game, but the 945 stays connected to my phone and no data are sent to Zwift.

Sometimes the 945 will change over to my computer and Zwift will receive data, but this seems to be by chance more than anything that I've done.  Is there a way to force the 945 to change devices it pairs to in the Virtual Run mode?  My failsafe is to turn bluetooth off on my phone, but I feel like there has to be a more elegant solution out there.

  • If the watch connects to the phone in virtual run mode, it is connecting to an app and not the phone. Check wich app is taking the connection, maybe you coupled the App to Zwift Companion.

  • Any tips for identifying which app is taking the connection?  I've forced closed all apps, so there's nothing active that is taking the connection, and I'm not sure how I would go about navigating settings to see what app is taking it.
