Multisport is useless because no workouts

Hi,

Bug detected: there is a multisport activity but there is no way you can create workouts for it, because the watch only allows you to upload workouts from garmin connect and garmin connect does not allow you to create multisport workouts!

I have very recently bought Forerunner 945 and terribly disappointed with it. Main reason: I cannot create MY workouts on the watch. I have an ab and cardio workout with excercises placed in multiple categories on garmin connect. Right now on this 500 EUR watch there is no way to record this plan of excercises with the time alotted for each excercise into one work out.

  • It is not a bug!

Mutlisport is created when you switch during a workout to other (more of less) other sports. So you can see them afterwords.

If you want to create a workout why making this on a watch. Make is online or in the app and send it to your 945 it works fine

There is also a possibility to make a own Activity like f.i. Swim, Run, Walk and bike. Set it up in de watch is possible like Triathlon which is already there.

No, it doesn't. Garmin Connect does not allow to create multisport (i.e. brick) workouts.

  • It isn't a bug. Is is a missing function. Send a request to Garmin to add support for Multisport workouts: https://www.garmin.com/forms/ideas/

You can probably create a workout of type "Other" and add the steps there and switch activity type manually, but it isn't a great workaround.

  • I have tried just about everything I could think of and called the support twice (btw. very uneven level of support). In any case, they agree that you cannot create a multisport workout. I am really disappointed about and just can't figure out why more people do not complain about it- maybe they're as resigned as I am :P This is a top shelf watch and being able to customize your workout is like a mid-level functionality to me. And it's not like I demand some super exotic excercises- I am using YT workouts for God's sake.
