Forerunner 945 + HRM Tri: missing information after update 6.20

For the last few weeks, I noticed several statistics are missing in my activities:

- GCT balance

- Breathing rythm

- Length of step/stride

The GCT balance screen is also missing on my watch during  running activities.

Looking at the time at which this behavior started, I suspect this might be linked to the upgrade to 6.20 software.

I use a Forerunner 945 with HRM Tri for my running activities.

Is the disappearance of these statistics possible related to this update or has something else happened?

  • Check the battery in the HRM-Tri

Check the pairing of the HRM-Tri

    Unpair/re-pair the HRM-Tri

  • Hello bdefre, if you go into menu, sensors and accessories, select your HRM-Tri, then select remove sensor, then hold the top left button down for about 15-20 seconds, then try repairing the strap. Also if you just changed the heart rate monitor battery, make sure the battery door was put back on the correct direction. If the heart rate monitor is put on upside down it won't record running dynamics.

  • Thanks for your reply. I checked before changing the battery and my Forerunner could not detect my HRM Tri. After changing the battery the connection is back so I am hopeful this will solve my problem.

Unfortunately, the screws were tied in so tightly that one was completely stripped and is now broken, I will need to figure out how to remove the remainder and where to find a replacement.

  • The screws do bind over time and get difficult to remove. Try a watchmaker. to get the broken one removed and replaced

To prevent future problems, get hold of some silicone grease. Remove the screws, add a dab of grease and replace.
