Issue with bluetooth connection to the phone

Hello,

I've my Forerunner 945 from December.

At the beginning every time I was too distant from the phone, when I came back near to it, a code was appearing on the watch to pair again the watch with the phone. And the code changed suddenly while I was typing it!

My phone is a Samsung A41.

I contacted Garmin assistance twice: the first time it was suggested to update the software (to 6.20) and to hard reset. The second time to hard reset.

The behaviour improved in the way sometimes it disconnects and connects again just alerting me with a vibration. But several times without a clear evidence of why it looses the pairing and tries to reconnect continuosly. Also during the night with the phone that makes some bip each time. And sometimes it looses the connection even if the phone was always near and with Bluetooth on.

Anyone experienced it? On my wife watch (Garmin 45) it never happens!

Thanks for support.

Ciao

  • Happened to me also. I am on IOS. Did also a full factory reset, but no improvement. Sometimes connection stays all day long and suddenly it disconnects en connects randomly. To switch off phone and watch can help to reconnect also.

  • In my opinion the problem here is not to reset every time as the assistance says (they only know what to say for every problem), but with version 6.20 there are more and more problems with BLE, even the sensors no longer work correctly.
