LOST Footpod

I lost my foot pod. I uninstalled it from my garmin 945 sensor menu. But now when i use my treadmill a dont have distance and pace from my watch motion, even the prompt to save and calibrate!

How can i use treadmill again with this data?

After i unistalled it, i turned off my watch and then i turned it on again.

Tks

  • By uninstalled you mean you deleted the footpod from the sensors menu?

If not, do that. Also, check if there are no other sensors the watch can get distance/speed from.

If yes, try a soft reset (hold power-off button for approximately 15 seconds).

  • Hi Pedro, is your foot pod BLE? I use the Zwift outdoors because the Garmin instant pace does not work, with SW5.50 everything is fine while since we are 6.20, despite the fact that the sensor is connected and signaled connected by the 945, every now and then the pace values are not calculated they go from 6:45 to 5:00 on an average of 5:30. Reset already carried out of course but the situation does not change, it is necessarily a bug of 6.20 and there is another friend of the forum who has the same problem with the speed sensor on the bike

  • Yesterday's race foot pod disconnected completion without signaling on the clock, I realized at the end of the manual disconnection of all the sensors, this 6.20 is really bad

  • Luca before i lost mine yes i used bluetooth and it was working fine wothout drops on my garmin 945. I dont remember what was my firmware before i lost it. I can help you!. Did you clean battery contactors wirh wd-40 or similar? Some times the footpods have contactor problems or weak batteries. Try to clean and chsnge the battery.

  • Thanks Pedro I'll try, mine in any case is new and after only 20 days immediately after the 6.20 update it started to malfunction

  • Have you ran outside with your watch since you deleted the pod? (how far?)  I would think this would be the main driver of the issue.

OR, another major issue is if you have a smart bike trainer near by that is powered up, will transmit a zero cadence/distance to watch.  A few forum posts regarding it.  If so, unplug it before treadmilling.

So when you do calibrate&save it says 0.0 miles?

In your activity after on Garmin Connect is there a graph for cadence (steps per minute) ?  Is it blank?

Have you done a press hold light button for 20-30sec to do a reset of watch, seems to fix many issues.  Do that and then go run a good run outside (hopefully more 1-2miles)
