Combine run with push-ups?

Anyone knows if you can create a training with running and push-ups?

If I use strength I can add  run, but I guess the gps won’t work.

and if I use run, I can’t add strength as a segment?

  • You mean a programmed workout? One that guides you through individual stages? What you need is a multisport workout, but these are not support by garmin connect nor your watch.

  • Ok thanks, I kind of thought so.

I guess I could do like an interval where I do push-ups in the stop.

  • These type of multisport activites are always tough to log, the few times i have done them I record it as a run, hit lap at strength workout part, then hit lap again when I start running.  can pause at strength section.  Then when done I create a stength activity for the amount of time in pause or time in those laps.  I prefer the pause in the non-run portion, otherwise the acitivity total for the day will be double counted a bit.

Using a custom cardio workuot, you can create steps of 'jog' and then other steps like pushups, rest, etc.   Not sure if GPS will be one though being that in the jog step it doesn't give an option for distance

  • I have now done a training session in connect where I have done 10 pieces of 1km run session with “rest” between them all. With “press lap when done” on these rest segments.

    this might work ok.
