How to manage training via BodyBattery?

Hello, i just wanna now, if i want to manage my workout intensity via the stats of my BodyBattery. Should i adjust my training according to the BodyBattery Score in the morning or before training?

  • That's a pretty good question. I find that the body battery correlates well with my energy or fatigue levels. The body battery uses HRV data which is often used to baseline and monitor recovery so I think adjusting the intensity of a workout accordingly is a good idea!

  • Thats my thought too, but the question is, to adjust training according the Score in the morning or short bevore a workout depending on BodyBattery Score? Bevor i had my 945 i used HRV Elite were you had to made your recording in the morning bevore get up. Based on this Score you new if you should train hard or easy regardless of whether the training takes place in the morning or in the evening.

  • I used Elite HRV too which was pretty good, but I got tired with having to use the HRM Strap every morning! I don't think there is a right or wrong answer to your question. The Body Battery could be considered superior to EliteHRV in that it provides a 24/7 trend based on constant feedback and readings rather than relying on one snapshot each morning. So I'd look at the 12 hour Body Battery trend preceding training, which would indicate how rested or recovered I am, before making a subjective decision based on how I feel.

  • Looking at the graph of BB overlaid with stress helps visualize things better than BB alone.

Stress comes from many forms - life stress, sleep quality, illness all play a role as well as just training stress.

From experience, I know how my stress levels come down normally with good sleep overnight. When I see BB/stress not coming down as normal overnight, I know that is when I should back things off in terms of workout intensity.
