Hi team has anyone tested the new 6.2 software with Jaybird Vista? Back up and running? Please say yes...!
This update has not fixed my connection issues. Have updated to 6.2. Deleted pairing in the watch, restarted the watch, factory reset the Jaybird vistas and then reconnected everything. 5 minutes into…
Not for me.
Very annoying. I am starting to detest the "not connected" audio prompt.
Maybe the Forerunner 945 is a broken device by design and cannot be fixed, unlike the Forerunner 245 Music…
I can confirm that prior to 6.2 I was running 6.04 beta with Jaybird Vistas and all was good with none of the original issues.
However, the last 2 mornings my watch wouldn't even find my Jaybirds. I had…
I've had the following back from a Jaybird representative after asking them if they're familiar with a case being raised:
I appreciate your time and sharing the information. I would like to inform you that it could be a compatibility issue with Garmin watch. I can see that issue arises mostly with Vista headset. I would like to inform you that it could be that Garmin software is not compatible with Vista software. I do not see any issue with Vista headset.
I do apologize for the inconvenience which you have experienced.
Have a feeling this will never be resolved..
sigh. New refrub replacement worked for about 3 runs, then started having dropouts. Reverted back to using my phone for runs. Updated to 6.85 beta last night hoping things might be fixe now 7-8 months later, but they are not. 3 drops within first 5 minutes. would re-connect and would get audio for about 3 seconds and it would drop again. After that, a solid 15 minutes of being able to get audio prompt "connected," but no audio. Was finally able to get them to connect in the last mile, only to be met with music playing at full volume and volume controls on the watch not showing/working. Turned them off completely. 30 minute run, ~3 minutes of solid listening at the beginning and that is it. I'm not sure I understand how this problems continues to be overlooked.
Update as today: after about 1 year and a half the right earbud stopped working (the volume of the right earbud was very very low, the left bud functioned normally).
I was quite shocked by the customer service of Amazon, I just phoned them, they agreed to change the product for free and in two days I had a new pair of Vista as replacement. The new earbuds arrived today. No problems with phone and television.
After checking that the earbuds were functioning well with the phone, I paired them with the Garmin FR945. The pairing process was fine. I started listening a podcast, but after a minute they completely muted. I tried other two times and the same again. The earbuds worked fine for about one minute, then no sound at all (without any notice like "earbuds disconnected" or something like that).
Disclaimer: I have a Forerunner 245M, but I am trying to learn and assist with the Jaybird Vista issue in any Garmin forums I can.
My Vistas began intermittently dropping connection in December. Since then I’ve tried all the things. I don’t connect them with my phone. I’ve removed their Bluetooth profile from my phone. I’ve turned Bluetooth off on my phone prior to removing the Vistas from their case. I’ve removed and re-added the Vistas to my FR245M.
The most persistent solution I have found is this:
Remove any Vista connection to your phone and to your Garmin device. Then do a FULL reset of your Vistas. To do this, place the Vistas in their case, hold the pairing button until it blinks white. Then double press the button so that it turns pink. When it’s pink, close the case for a few seconds. Then open the case, navigate to the Add Headphones screen on your Garmin device, and place the Vistas in pairing mode by holding the pairing button until it blinks white. Once paired with your Garmin device, use as normal.
This process has previously kept my Vistas working without drops for over a month. However, drop issues WILL happen again at some point. When they do, perform the process above.
I am not a Bluetooth expert, but clearly something is eventually corrupting the Bluetooth connection file with Garmin devices and it must be reset through a full Vista reset. Since I am not connecting my Vistas to any internet connection via my phone, I can only assume this is a Garmin issue.
Maybe because the Jaybirds work flawlessly with every other device i have ? Maybe because Garmin acknowledge their problem but sadly are clueless about how to fix it - and they dont care
Because the Jaybird Vista earbuds with work with my phone, laptop and desktop, but stop working with the garmin forerunner 945 on certain version releases
In the last two runs I didn't have any problems. Before I had continuous disconnection.
Maybe this is the solution: usually I sync the watch with wifi and all my updates are via wifi automatically.
Three days ago I connected the Forerunner 945 with the computer and Garmin Express via usb.
Garmin Express said I had to do a map update and I did it (it took about 1 hour).
After this update, I don't have any issue any more with the Vista.
Can somebody else that has this disconnection problem connect the watch with the computer and confirm if this the true solution of the problem?
