No ice skating profile?

Finally we can ice skate again in Holland. But probably only until this Sunday. I've been searching on my FR945 for an Ice skating profile to log the route and hart rate but can't seem to find it.

Am I overlooking something or is there really no ice skating profile available?

depends on where you're from. In Northern Europe and I would guess Canada....it's not the Niche. A top level watch should have a profile for skating I would think.

No, there is no standard profile for every niche sport. If you want to track HR and Distance, cold any other outdoor profile, rename it and change the activity Typ afterwards in connect

It's not so niche as even Garmin Connect has it as sport..

They could to some general GPS tracking activity like "Winter Sport" that asks the type and that would do and people would be happy.

Ah I see that too....if the Garmin connect app has it....why not the watch. Crazy

Yeah, well at least in case of Ice Skating you can change the sport to be right one afterwards.

It is weird they don't have Skating, but their activities have always been a bit weird. Surfing over Skating, coming from Minnesota... this seems strange. Even knowing people that live by oceans... not that many people surf! (I find that funny... since I do) Whereas in Minnesota, nearly everyone ice skates!
Same with floor climbing? Kayak? however i'm sure there is some sort of focus group or ranking of fitness activities that they go off of.

This is still annoying. And there's no good alternative to use :D XC Skate Ski kind of, but I sometimes also do that, so meh.

And we have gotten new bunch new activities. And as far as I know this wouldn't be better on the Fenix side either as those don't have it either.

CIQ store has https://apps.garmin.com/fi-FI/apps/cea740c8-57f8-4fbc-a32b-efc48ee964bc but I'm not really wanting to use that as a workaround, but it has some interesting metrics like glide time.
