Battery Drain since few days

Hello,

Since few days, I find that there is an abnormal battery drain. Without doing any activity and with only the heart rate and activity monitoring activated I lose 10% / day whereas before it was maximum 5% / day.Do you also have this kind of problem?

Thanks

  • deep power off procedure ?!? What do you mean?

  • So after 9 days I confirm that I've a battery drain. Normally I charging my watch every 2 weeks, but actually the battery lost 70 % in 1 week with 2 gps activities of 1 hour.

  • My battery drain seems to have fixed after changing Altimeter -> Auto Cal -> Not During Activity to OFF.

Battery is down 27% after 66 hours on smartwatch mode. I am using a No Frills watch face and spo2 set to sleep.

But still a far cry from the official specs battery life.

  • I had the same issue with any of different than default watch faces. With the different than default watchface the battery is drying about 15-18% per 24 hours. But when I switch to the one of default watch face with displaying the same data (steps count, weather, notifications) the battery drying backs to the normal, about 7-8% per 24 hours. I've tried few times with different watch faces that have many 5 starts reviews.

  • I've noticed that I needed to charge my watch more often in the last couple of weeks. I thought it just was due to my increased training. I charged my watch to 100% yesterday after lunch. When I woke up this morning it was down to 67% without any training or extensive use in between. That is definitely not normal. 33% in less than 24 hours without using it more than as a smartwatch.

I've now restarted it and put it to charge again. It is already back at 100%. I will let it charge for a few hours more just in case that matters.

I've set Auto calibration of Altimeter to OFF for "Not during activity" for a couple of days since I saw the tip about that.

Default watch face is from Garmin with no fields that are updating often.

  • I’m having also a massive drain. Lost 63% in somewhat  more then 24 hours and one activity of 43 minutes. Already did a restart, but draining is just as fast the last hours. Maybe it is the Bluetooth. I noticed also connection and disconnecting from my phone while my phone was nearby. Could it be the new version of GCM mobile?

  • Hello, Do you know IQ App to show the decrease % battery by hour ?

  • So after a few recharging, the battery drain is always here. I lost 6% in one day with activity tracker and hrm enabled only. Will this be resolved in the next update? Because I was very angry to recharging to battery every 7-10 days. Before I recharging at least every 14 days with 6 activity gps recorded.

  • Good Morning,

I was facing the same Problem. It starte suddenly and ended in a drin of 10% in 1h. I did a complete restart and this did not help.

BUT - After performing a complete sync with Amazon Music the drain was back at normal level

Is it a coincidence or does it belong to the open synchronization process?

  • Cheers mate. Don't need to be angry.

Charging every 7-10 days is really not a big problem.

And I doubt any new firmware will address a significant improvement to battery life. Lower your expectations.

To the rest who are facing significant battery drain like >20% in a day of no activity, just do a factory reset first. Don't install any watch face or apps. These addition could be battery drainers.

For me I'm just happy to charge every ~5 days. I have a watch face and Spo2 (sleep).
