Has anyone tried to connect the Garmin Edge remote to a forerunner 945.

I have been using the 945 on the bike with power and cadence paired. It would be really nice if the Garmin edge remote could be used to pause the 945 so you could keep both hands on the handle bars

I mount my 945 (with QuickFit straps, not the standard ones) on a quarter turn mount screwed into the stem. The Garmin quarter turn kit (sold for triathletes) is mostly redundant as you only need the quarter turn to QuickFit part. but it's not available any other way. The stem mount was about £2 off Amazon (in Aluminium).
