Forerunner 945 Strap

Hi, I have seen a few people saying that they have experienced this annoying creaking noise from the strap that comes with the 945. Happens every evening (must be dust or whatever getting in between the level and the band). Whilst I understand rinsing it makes it temporarily go away, this is very annoying. Can people confirm if it goes away over time?

This issue combined with the dodgy button feelings are both quite irritating on a new purchase (second 945 i've tried).

    Creaking noise?  How would this happen?  How is the watchband even moving where it would cause any…

    well it's irrelevant to my complaint as it creaks when it's loose.

    The implication was to use the spray on the strap pins, not the strap itself.

    Yes I know. The spray is likely to flow to the strap and wrist.

    I cannot visualize how it can make a creaking sound.

    Unless it is worn too tight and too near to the wrist. Then likely to have some tense movements and thus the sound.

    If it is worn loosely (not recommended though) or just nice above the wrist bone, will it sound?

    I can't imagine the band being able to make any sound either.  The pins loose and rubbing on the watch causing the sound seems more probable to me.

    I’ve already stated the sound occurs when worn loose also. 
    I believe it is a problem with the pins so I have bough t6 screwdrivers arriving tomorrow.

    The sound is temporarily dealt with by washing the area around the connection. 

    I promise I’m not making it up, I have better things to do!

    Hopefully it works without the need to spray.

    Damn that's very freaking loud.

    It's probably the band? Can't possibly be the tiny pins making such loud noises.

    So did lubricating or tightening help?
