Hi!
Any plans on adding the capability to manage/create/import structured workouts based on power?
Thanks and best regards,

You can already do this for cycling.
Unfortunately, Garmin does not support native Running power, only through CIQ fields which limits functionality, and I suspect we won't see it on the current generation…
I too was very frustrated by this and also found the Stryd app a little clunky, plus I prefer to use my Garmin data fields.
but I have good news!
You can do power based workouts just using the DataRun…
I think he does some kind of discount for the copies or something. 1 Datafield is all I use.

I believe that the latest Stryd CIQ app does support structured running power workouts. But it's a bit clunky compared with native support.
Thanks mcalista
I was in fact refering to _running_ strucutred workouts.
If it is already available for cycling and they have develop running power datafields, I really can't understand why they just add it!
Maybe you are right and it is just something they will add to FR955...
Thanks again and best regards!
Native power metric is available for cycling, but not yet for running. I have a Stryd pod and have used their workout app once. I found it quite clunky and haven't used it since. Stryd have a connect IQ data field for power, in much the same way as Garmin Labs do for their HRM-based power - but for structured workouts using the watch's built-in workout function, it can't be used.
I'm trying the Stryd app because I'm starting a power based training plan. It's for interval training that a power based alarm is useful.

You can do power based workouts just using the DataRun datafield, in conjunction with either FinalSurge (free service) or Sporttracks (subscription based). You simply create the workout in either FS or ST and then sync to your garmin account, then when the DataRun datafield is on screen it will alert you if in/out of your designated power range. Works great in my experience. Datarun is a paid data field by the way, but it's less than $5 if I recall correctly and it also is amazing with the vast array of fields you can add (I have 10 fields on one screen on my 945).
This process isn't as simple as just doing it all in Garmin, but in my opinion it's worth the little bit of upfront effort.
This seems like a good solution, though I wish there weren't as many versions of the datarun field! There's a different version for each number of datafields you want displayed, each requiring its own purchase!
I have taken the DU8-10c0 Datarun Ultimate version.
