Sync between Forerunner, Edge and Tacx

I have a Garmin Forerunner 945, a Garmin Edge 1030 and I ride my Tacx Flux (Zwift) as well.  They are all connect to Strava, so far so good.

I would like for the data from the all 3 devices to sync with my Forerunner and Edge as I would like to get a right picture of when Forerunner for example suggest I do a certain run (rest/intervals/distance), it only takes into account my running and not my bike rides etc.  Is there an option to do this?

  • Here is the problem: when you connect Zwift to Garmin there will be no training effect measured. That's why i have my Zwift account only push to strava, and i record as well (trainer only connected as a power meter) on the watch (ride indoors).

the two Garmin devices should be able to sync though by physiological true up.

  • physiological true up doesn't combine actvities from different devices in the trainingstatus screen from the garmin connect app. In the trainingstatus screen you must select a device.

  • Yes, while the data is integrated, Garmin Connect only displays Exercise Load on a per device basis. 7 Day Load and Load Focus are integrated.

You can see the integrated data on the device (Edge or watch) itself.

Also, note that it takes 3 syncs - one of the Edge, and 2 of the watch to get all the data from a ride lined up. And it takes 3 syncs of the other way to get data from a run lined up with the Edge.

  • Why only.on the device and not in Garmin connect? I like to call it strange :-)
