Corrupt fit file for my first standard triathlon

I just ran my first standard triathlon, and it had an error on saving and had to reset my watch.

Can I get any information out of the fit file? I have tried a few tools but they crash on the file

Hi Sunset, congrats on completing your first standard tri!

I ran your FIT file through FFRT. Checking the event log, there was only a start event but no stop. FFRT gave this message "The recording ended…

I ran your FIT file through FFRT. Checking the event log, there was only a start event but no stop. FFRT gave this message "The recording ended abruptly and without the expected summary records. Probably data records at the end of the recording are missing."

This should work for you - 2020-11-08-07-05-03-fixed.zip

Unzip the file then import into Garmin Connect using the import data page.

Repaired using FFRT.

It's suggested to regularly clean out the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the device using these directions: Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space on a Garmin Fitness Device
