GPS Lag and footpod

Hi team, I have recently joined a running club, so my runs now include a lot of starting and stopping, (strides, stopping between intervals, short sharp laps, etc).

It has very quickly become extremely irritating how laggy this sony chipset is. It takes ages to notice when you stop, and ages to pick up when you have started running again, and for short timed laps / intervals it means I often have to run longer than other clubbies as the GPS takes 5-10 seconds to notice I am running. Very annoying.

All firmware is up to date, and after every update I do a hard reset and long GPS soak.

Does a footpod help with this at all? Will it pick up movement quicker so come off autopause quicker than the hopeless GPS chip? If so, any recommendations???

Thanks!
