Not receiving notifications on my Garmin forerunner 945.

I have gone through all the settings on my iPhone and they are correct.  I have gone through all the settings on the Garmin and they are correct as well.  The Garmin automatically updates my activity on the watch and phone and to Garmin Connect so there is not issue with the connectivity.  It just does not show any notifications at all.  I have rebooted my phone and watch and nothing helps.  Where do I go from here.  I have updated the watch on Garmin Express so I am up to date with updates.

    I have had similar troubles before and I found that you need to have one of the "alerts" turned on in the notification center for the given app. In other words, even if you "allow notifications" for the given app (eg whatsapp) but you do not have something like "notification center" clicked, then it doesn't give alerts on the Garmin. Perhaps something for you to check.

    Mine stopped working in the last week or so as well. I've unpaired and repaired the watch. I've also deleted and reinstalled the app without any luck so far.

    I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. I have also checked that the app is up to date.

    Edit: After like an hour I finally figured out I had accidentally toggled do not disturb mode on my phone.

    Thanks Brian, I also have the 11 Pro Max.  I have checked every setting including what you have mentioned and they are all correct.  My phone and watch talk to each other as when I leave the room and come back in the watch disconnects and reconnects so that is working but just no notifications. A mystery.

    I was just having this problem, my notifications were working just fine, then suddenly stopped even though phone and text message were allowed.  So I went to notifications and clicked to allow all of them and it started working again.  I had unchecked some previously trying to only target the ones I really wanted, but it didn't like it I guess.  its working now.
