Wrist HR not working when connected to trainer during indoor bike activity

Hello,

My Forerunner 945 has software version 5.0.0 and I do like the new feature to control the bike trainer in the indoor bike mode. However, once the trainer connects to the watch, the wrist monitor stops working and shows no HR.

I initially thought this is related to broadcasting HR to Zwift over bluetooth or ANT+ but I disabled HR broadcasting and the issue still occurs.

Any idea why this happens and how to fix it?

I think I saw someone say that the beta 5.09 fixes that. So if your watch is ROW, not APAC, install the beta.

What is ROW and what's APAC?

I have issues mounting the watch on my mac using android file transfer because of Garmin express drivers

ROW == Rest of World
APAC = Asia Pacific

And if you can't copy the beta, then it's waiting game for the release.

If you use an external heart rate monitor no issues

I´m not sure about Zwift HR Broadcast issue, i use Bkool and a Zycle Smart zPRO trainer and i use the FR945 "indoor cycling" mode in two ways.

1. Indoor Cycling Mode (Using Zycle Smart ZPro paired via BT (no ANT+ with my FR945) + Garmin Connect Training plan, so i don´t need HR Broadcast "ON" in this way.

2. Bkool App (In my Notebook) + FR945 in HR Brodcast mode "ON" via ANT+ (Notebook BT disabled) and then i activate the Indoor Cycling mode on my FR945 (1 minute after bkool warming mode started)

But after a time i decided to move the FR945 from my wrist to my bike´s handlebar and decided to use and old Polar OH1 HR band (more comfortable any way) for my indoor cycling sessions, only needed to pair the OH1 and the FR945 (Wrist HR measurement "automatic mode" ON) and works flawless with Bkool. (first, before to connect the trainer and open the bkool app, i turn ON the HR function / monitor (Broadcast when used this FR945 mode or Polar OH1).

Recomendation: Only turn on your other BT devices (Smartphone, Earbuds, Tablet, Speakers) AFTER Zwift / FR945 connections, i´ve detected some loss connection modes when you have other pre paired devices ON before.
