Create new data layer for Map view

Hi,

is there any way to prepare data layer from Shape SHP file (but may be other geospatial formats as well) which will be displayed above the default map available on watch?

I'm not sure what you're asking but you can add two data fields that are overlayed on the map screen.

No, I am thinking about adding new layer of spatial data - for example layer which aggregates all my history's tracks to see on map where I have already ridden my bike - now I stored this data in SHP file, but using GIS tool I can easily transform to different format). My first idea is transform SHP file to Garmin's `*.img` format.

Oh I see what you mean and I can also see where that would be helpful.

I think the first idea is the only working one, you can do now.

The other idea would be ask Garmin to display them, like add settings to "show my courses" or "show my activities" into map settings.
