MoveIQ not working since ages

On my FR 945, MoveIQ is not working since ages. I also cat set time thresholds like I could before a activity is startet (but I dont know if this was ever possible on the FR or if this was the Fenix 5).

Is it working for you? It was not working on 5.0 and isn't working on 5.09. I thought it was working and only saw it because it didn't get the 16h walking badge wich should be easy for me.

    I'm on the latest FW and Move IQ is "kind of" working for me.  I can go on a brisk walk, but it shows I started an elliptical workout. I've also jumped on my Bowflex M5 (elliptical/stair stepper) without starting an activity just to show I started a cycling workout.

    Move IQ will not log any activities so it will not count for the walking badge. On some other Garmin devices activities can be auto started, but not on the 945.

    Move IQ can identify what you are doing and display that on your timeline. That is working for me. Those events are displayed as grey circles. Logged activities are displayed as green circles. connect.garmin.com/.../2020-09-27

    In my case it "sees" an activity, but it rarely identifies that activity correctly.

    It is a pretty pointless function since it can be used to start activities and the Move IQ events are not counted as training in the logs or for badges. I don't know why I keep it enabled...

    I was thinking the same thing. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it counts towards training load or recovery either, so what's the point?
