Turn prompts

Hello, 

I run with the navigation a lot and enabled Turn Prompts on my 945, so the watch will beep when a turn is coming up.

Until software version 5, this was a single, subtle beep at every turn.

But as of version 5.00 this subtle beep as changed in three very annoying beeps at every turn AND the same three annoying beeps after the turn.

I do not know if this is a software error or intentional, but can I change the beep pattern for turn prompts? I would like to have back my subtle single beep at every turn.

    Well, under the Navigation settings you can turn off "turn notification". I assume that would take away the beeps (but perhaps also the visual turn notification). Haven't used turn prompts since upgrading to 5.00 so can't say if I also have three beeps. Sounds annoying!

    I think it's intentionally done. As those sounds did come when you used to route you back to start. Then the navigation sounds was like the normal navigation sounds are now.

    I noticed that in beta and send this as feedback:
    "When following course the sounds for turns are now same as when doing “back to start, route”, which is kind of too much. Maybe some options for having sound on/off would be nice for navigation? I think vibrate would be enough for me usually when running.. in biking then the sounds (as it’s not on the wrist, then also vibrate is pointless). So maybe it could be some Navigation -> Notification -> Nothing, Sound, Vibrate, Sound & Vibrate -style setting per activity like the “Follow course” setting."

    So it it's annoying, ask Garmin to do something about it :D

    Yes I have also noticed this change.  Personally I like it, always seemed to miss the single beep while out doing a course.  I usually am biking courses, so when in a loud area or if going 20+mph hearing a single little beep from handlebars wasn't very much of an alert.

    If possible it sure would be nice to adjust - but overall - I don't want to miss a turn when out on a random new route, so i'm happy.  I'm sure with all changes its a win some lose some proposition.  custom settings sure make it better!

    I can imagine that for some activities, like biking, the three beeps are oke. But for running its annoying, a simple beep or just only the vibration would be sufficient.
