Mass deletion / management of workouts?

So a few months back I tried one of the Garmin provided marathon training plans, completed that - and I'll probably do same again for next upcoming longer race.

In meantime, I've got another program to follow to build a bit of base, which is a combination of maybe 3 or 4 different running workout patterns just with different durations/intensities etc.

Anyways - I create and sync the new workouts to my watch, no probs. BUT - next time I go for a run I realised I hadn't stuck it in the calendar, so it didn't automatically offer up the workout, so I had to manually select, (not a problem in itself) and there I discovered I had approx 48 old individually named workouts from my marathon schedule on my watch, that I had to scroll in amongst to find my new workouts.

How do I delete them all from the watch without clicking about 5 times for each workout?

And is there a folder or tree method of organising workouts that I haven't discovered?

Any best practices, or is it just simply easiest to pull a workout into the calendar and sync, so the correct one gets offered up when starting a run?

  • Hi..... very late response but I was just searching for the same problem....
Connect to your laptop and browse to This PC\Forerunner 945\Primary\GARMIN\Workouts
you will see all the workouts in there and you can delete them quickly in explorer.... worked a treat for me.
