Location requirement and nonstop use

My Garmin Connect app in Android requires location and it never frees it, the icon that location services are in use never dissapears.

It does not happen after fresh restart but after some time.

I have FR 945 and Edge 530.

Please Garmin, fix it. It drains the battery...

I've turned off that permission just because it drains battery when it constantly access the location. I had to turn it on again when I added a new device, but after that I can turn it off. I haven't found any reason to why it should have that permission.

Ask Garmin to fix it. They might be here but there are no guarantees.
