Hijacking the topic but related: doing a tradmill run with footpod + hrm chest and watch off the wrist result in no steps for the daily step counts.
Previously, I got steps for treadmill activities with footpod (watch not attached to the wrist). Thus I agree that something has changed.
Same problem when I switched from a Vivoactive HR to a Fenix 6. The older model tracked steps and floors while mtn biking but the Fenix doesn't.
This should be configurable, Activity Tracking On/Off. Can users submit change requests?
