So, I play floorball (indoor hockey w/o ice, w/o skates) and decided to create it as new sport in my F945 to track minutes etc. in addition to runs. Differences I noticed compared to my previous watch F225:
- it didn't measure distance. F225 did measure distance even w/o footpod, and it was really close to correct number (which I was able to check after a tournament in which my team wore specialized indoor vests that measure distance covered indoors)
- the HR chart in Garmin Connect doesn't seem to have any gaps. However, when looking at time spent in zones, it adds up to 23 minutes (instead of 40). What I did notice was that Garmin screen lit up every now and then, as if it stopped and then when I started moving it "activated" again (total activity time is correct: 40mins, so if it did assume stopping, it didn't deduct anything from totals). Floorball is a start&stop sport (similar to ice-hockey), so there are indeed moments when I'm not moving (incl. time between shifts), but it doesn't mean activity has stopped. I checked auto-pause in sports settings and it was off.
Any ideas how to deal w these two points? The distance part is maybe not that important to me, but HR measures (as far as I understand) can impact training load outputs.
