Only One Connect-IQ-Field usable in FW 5.00

I user dr6c1 and Stryp Zones as Connect-IQ-Fields fpr running.

After the update to Beta 4.87 i noticed that all Connect-IQ-Fields had changed to timer. Update to 5.00, all Connect-IQ fields have become timers again. Unfortunately, the same bug still seems to be there.
I was able to add dr6c1 to the activity again after a factory reset of the running activity and it is also displayed correctly, but when I add “Stryd Zones” or “Run Power” it is always only displayed as a timer. So far I haven’t found a solution to reactivate the “Stryd Zones”. Has anyone found a solution?

I found out something more:
If I remove my Connect-IQ field with dr6c1 I can easily add the "Stryd-Power" field and it will display correctly. Then, however, only the timer is displayed when adding dr6c1.

Apparently only ONE Connect-IQ field can be used since firmware beta 4.87. If you try to add a second one, it will be shown as a timer.

  • I also had a user report this. He was using my "Peter's (Race) Pacer" together with "Stryd" which didn't work.

After changing the app setting in my app to disable recording "Ahead Time" to the fit file both my app and Stryd can co-exist on the forerrunner 945, so it seems the issue is that the forerunner 945 that doesn't allow 2 connect iq fields which both write extra values to the fit file.

Is there already a bug report for this where this info can be added?

  • Same here. I use Stryd and Fat burner data fields. When I installed 5.00, Stryd was automatically replaced with timer field. When I tried to add it back to run activity, it didn't worked (it was replaced with timer field).
Fortunately, your solution works, thx! ;)

But of course, it's a bug in a new software, so I hope it will be fixed soon...

  • my DR6c1 datafield doesn't write data to the fit file, so I doubt that that is the issue

  • It seems to be a problem with the data fields itself, my combinations are working like a charm

(Garmin running power together with estimated time or estimated body temperature)

  • Is there a known fix for this issue, I removed Stryd zone data field because it was saying 2 iq data fields were installed.... I now have none installed but when I try and add it says I've got to delete before I can add.... FFS
