No directions warnings for navigation (upcoming course point)

During a tour, the Forerunner 945 does not issue turn warnings like the Garmin Edge Explore does.
For example, 150 meters before the turn, you will receive a notification on the Edge.

By the way: During a trip where you choose to navigate back to start, it works fine !

Anybody a sugestion how to fix it ?

    In general, my 945 gives me about 100 feet of warning before every turn.  There are occasional random exceptions, but those happen once every couple of weeks.  The only other exception I've noticed is that many times the first turn on my route might not be announced in advance.  But that's not a problem, I usually know the first couple of turns when I leave my house.

    Txs for your answer. Where or how do you plan/make your routes ?

    I use Dynamic watch for instance.

    And do you use for instance after loading the trip a cycle activity or the navigation app. on you garmin 945 ?

    Today i made some screen pic's of what i ment.

    These screens i only see whene i start a navigation in (running of cycling) activity to f.i. my home.

    But again. If i start to run or cycle a downloaded route i do not receive this warmings/messages !

    the first screen apears about 450 meters before the turn stays there wherby the distense to the turning point is going less meters.

    After the turn it shows the 3rd screen were you can see that the next turn is about 1,64 km.

    My Garmin Edge explore does this also with downloaded courses.

    Question is why does the 945 not.

    I create my routes within Garmin Connect on my computer.

    You're right that during the Outage I had to use a different source to create my routes, and those routes did not give me warnings about upcoming turns.  You may be forced to use Garmin Connect to create your routes.

    Just tested it with a course created via garmin connect on the computer and that works fine !

    But it is still strange that for the Garmin Edge Explore 1000 course created other than with Garmin Connect have the warnings and the 945 does not.

    Former Member Could you help me or explain.
