  2. Download and unzip Forerunner945_487Beta.zip. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder of your device's internal storage drive.
  3. From the RemoteSW folder in the unzipped download, copy the GUP3114.GCD into the \GARMIN\RemoteSW folder on your device.
  4. Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish.
  5. If you would like to revert to the last public release software, place the GUPDATE-440.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder. Rename GUPDATE-440.GCD to GUPDATE.GCD before disconnecting your device. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.
  6. To downgrade your peripheral software, place the GUP3114-401.GCD from the RemoteSW\Downgrades folder into your device's \GARMIN\RemoteSW folder.
  • No. Unfortunately it's known issue, which Garmin hasn't acknowledged or done anything about it. There are a lot of posts about it in the Forums.

GCW has bad altitude data in some/many parts of the world and it will force "fix" the altitude profiles by their data and that's the results, it's more or less than it should be.

If you want to avoid Garmin handling your altitude data you need to import the course directly to watch from another service without GCW trying to "fix" it.

  • Thanks now it make sense, I don't remember if with the Edge 530 I got the same... probably yes, anyway I reported as a bug in this firmware release and I will do the same till they will solve the problem, because it's very annoying and it ruins all the good in the climb and in the altitude profile page.

  • same here. Power info gone...

  • I have problem with CIQ fields. I can't add CIQ field for Run activity or I can add one field and then can't add second... More than that: I added yesterday one filed, used it during activity but today instead of it I see stopper field.

  • No mention of Grit and Flow being added to MTB activity - did I miss this in previous change logs? Thanks
