Garmin 945 stable update

, any ideas on when can we get some fresh and stable update?
Watch keeps crushing. Fenix series gets updated all the time, why same customers from 945 lineup are getting punished?
What is grand scheme in here? I thought Garmin is dedicated to provide some customer support and experience for all customers despite unit they have!

Can you provide any feedback?

  • I don't understand that either Disappointed
It's really sad and disapointing Disappointed

  • Don't get you. 945 is super stable with latest firmware release 4.40.

    Happy.

  • I agree with you. May be because I don't use spo2, music and pay...

The main issue for my use, continue to be the GPS accuracy under trees and between buildings.
In Trail Running, the altitude can be not good with GPS error of 20-30 meters.

Previous generation watch weres better (F935 and my old F235) even if they were not the best in comparison on very old Polar V800. On a clear road, F945 GPS works very well for run & bike.

I hope Garmin will change or upgrade for a better Sony chispet. I know it's not possible to have the same skill of Army GPS ;-)

  • Don't get you.

If it works for you, great. Others have problems and things that don't work as they should.

For me biggest annoying thing atm is SwimRun, GPS track struggles both swims and in runs sometimes. It seems that the transition might cause it to lost GPS lock. And sometimes I mean transition, not that I would have gotten any proper SwimRun activity done, everyone of them have had some problems.

  • seems Garmin have a new logic for public Firmware Versions:

    Forerunner 945 v4.40

    Edge830 v5.50

    Fenix 6 v10.10

and so on, looks like, this versions have fixes for mostly all!

As Fenix 6 jumped some hours ago to 10.10 it could be possible that a new cycle starts for Foreunners now?

  • 935 got 20.00, not 20.20 :D  (Checked that just, and how nice the 935 buttons are compared to 945, clicks and everything..).
