If it's supposedly coming to 945 by the end of the year, I think we can be pretty sure that 955 is not coming this year :) 

Yes, that seems plausible. 

I'd rather have Garmin get its current offerings working better before pushing out new models.

For instance, on a lark, I compared my 230's GPS track with my 945 this weekend, and the 230 did better, so I'd like a bit more work on the GPS if that's possible (though I realize the limitations may be the new (SONY?) chip used for these watches)

For the 955, I hope the thick bezels will be gone.

Yep, as if this 945 won't feel "mature", I don't know how quickly I want to buy the replacement. 

And for the GPS side, yes I would also hope for better accuracy, I think this bad GPS is the biggest failure of 945, and probably nothing much can be expected from the SW point of view. I think without maps I would have gone back to 935, but maps rocks (unfortunately they also suck and no reaction from Garmin to it in 10 months)..

I really would like to see dual-band support and for those who would like more battery life could have GPS settings is it single band or dual band. This would be for me a big selling point.

sleep widget is allowed on the FR945??

They bought FirstBeat (I think that's the name of the company?), so now they don't have to pay licensing fees for all the metrics these watches do. It's a great thing for us!

Well with recent release of 745 after 3 years from previous model one has to think if Garmin will keep 2-3 year product cycle for more sport-focused Forerunner 9x5 and 1 year cycle for more casual/show-off focused Fenix range. What think?

The main triathlon/multisport watch used to have pretty spot on 3 year cycle, but then it started to be 2 years and also expecting it to be again two years, so in spring we have 955.

I can't find any news on this, not by Garmin, not on forums ... but as off this night I suddenly have SLEEPSCORE AND SLEEP WIDGET on my 945!?
