Vivomove HR NOT recording Sleep Pulse Ox

Does  anyone know a fix? I had the Vivosmart 4 & had no issues other than I have a large wrist & need a 8 1/2” band. The Vivosmart would fall off at least once a week, so I switched to one where I could change up the bands. I used to have a really nice FitBit, fourth one but they seem to have a huge software issue. They’d tell you to change the watch face & after doing this multiple times I gave it up. It’s a big software issue that they don’t seem to be able or care to fix, just leaving it up to the consumer. I truly hope that this isn’t going to be the same with Garmin. We’ve had their GPS for decades & always very happy with their reliability & quality of their products. I received it May 12th & it recorded fine until a week ago. Since I have COPD, this was an important function. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I could have written your request myself! Same story, switched from Fitbit because I felt the same way. Keep telling you to switch watch face which was a temporary fix. After much research I learned it was a very common problem. They have abut  software issue & throw it back on consumers instead of fixing the issue. And I started with the Vivosmart 4, but it fell off so many times because I also have a larger wrist. So, have you gotten an answer/solution? Mine tracked the pulse ox for about a month & then stopped. I’ve deleted the app, let the device Barrett go dead for a few day’s, then reinstalled & reconnected the device. All in working order except for pulse ox.

  • Hello & make it my story also. And totally agree; you have a major software issue & you, the customer have to change the  watch face you prefer to a different one to fix their problem: and it’s it a permanent fix!

And we’ve also have & used Garmin GPS since their inception.

I trusted the Garmin reputation & reliability of our experience of the GPS function & reliability.  That is until now. I called & spoke with a representative & was told that the Vivomove HR does not support Pulse Ox tracking.

My question is: has anyone else experiencing this issue get a resolution from Garmin?
Thanks for listening, would love to know what solution Garmin has.

  • Most likely you would have gotten a better answer in the forum group for the Vivomove HR, found here: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/vivomove-hr

However, doing a quick check and comparison between the Vivomove HR watch as described on Garmin's website and the 945, which I have myself (and in which forum you posted this) the function does not seem to exist on the Vivomove HR. I can't imagine there's a "fix" since I think need different hardware in order to record that.

and compare the same section on the 945
