Did you happen to update to the latest topo maps?
I noticed way bigger battery usage with those (and lag, unresponsiveness). At first when actually using them (trying to plan a route, took too long, cancelled…
I tried to retain with the maps. Did a new install of the maps, charged it full, soft reboot. But the battery only lasts ONE day. This is insane. Is this the only way, moving the maps?? And, please where…
Here's my experience in the last two days. Nothing changed in my usage, no new CIQ apps, no new maps installed. I have been on 4.40 since it came out:
It's not 'a thing' with FW version 4.40, because if it was we would all be seeing this. CIQ apps have no way to affect battery usage if you're not in an activity, so I am doubtful it's that either. Some CIQ watch faces could increase battery drain, but not to that extend.
First thing to do is recharge the watch, then perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button until the watch switches off (all data and settings will be retained).

I noticed way bigger battery usage with those (and lag, unresponsiveness). At first when actually using them (trying to plan a route, took too long, cancelled but it just kept draining battery) but also suddenly in activities without actually accessing the maps. (Perhaps some background process going on with them?) and also battery usage was way higher.
Especially noticable in activities btw (going from 4-5%/hr to double of that) but also in general. Though not as extreme as in your case.
I removed the garmin maps, only using OSM now, and all seems to be ok agian. But sure hope garmin fixes this asap!
