Lags after last map update

Hello,

Something is wrong with my watch - prehaps you can help me.

After I updated the maps (with some problems like most of us) my watch is lagging and it is sometimes slow (and I am not talking about loading maps)
I decided to do factory reset but it didn't really help.

The biggest lag usually happens when I want to choose some activity but I don't start it - just decide to go back -> the watch freezes for some time.
The same happens during entering settings (up button) and eg choosing na different watchface.

Do you experience anything like that?
Do you have any idea what to do with it (don't tell me to reset the watch again!)
It all started after the map update

i have exactly the same issues after installing "TopoActive Europe 2020.10", factory reset doesn't help.

sometimes maps are visible, sometimes not. press a button has a delay of up to 5 seconds.

Somewhat known issue. Try reinstalling the maps until problem goes away or it's not so bad.

I had boot time of 2min 35seconds, after reinstall 1min.

But still there seems to be some lag that I didn't have so big.. Like pressing start, takes that 5s until something happens.

There is definetely some problem with the maps... - zoom in/out doesn't work (or perhaps I should wait for 30 minutes...)

I wish I could instal (return) the old one

Hello,

i had the same problem.

Reinstall of the maps with the Windows software and then restart of the watch helped.

You mean reinstall with the help of Garmin Express on your pc?

Reinstall all maps or Europe Topo maps only???

Unless you can eliminate the problem map, yes reinstall all of them.

I installed some additional maps sometime ago - where can I find them now?
Can I just delete them from forerunner's disk?

But only Topo Active Europe map was updated, I didn't have a problem with the others so far. Unless you've tried it and it works as a solution??!
