945 APAC firmware 4.50 massive battery life!

Just thought I'd share how impressed I am with the battery life of my 945 APAC. I had a really long mtb ride yesterday and required my garmin to record all day. After making just 2 setting changes (smart recording instead of per sec + turned off phone connection), the watch easily survived 12.5 hrs of recording. And still had 60% battery life left!! I'm not sure if this was due to the 4.50 update, but I had seen some battery life improvements prior to my ride. 

I do leave Pulse Ox off as this used to cause a big drain and I'm not fussed about it anyway. Maybe I could turn it on now. Anyway, very pleased with this update!

    Is there someone that has some experience with enhanced battery-life with only the new firmware?

    I recently did a long long 55K that took 9.5+ hours to complete.  I turned off the BT on the phone I was carrying but NOT on my 945 (but ti wasn't connected to anything via BT).  Otherwise the only devices connected were via ANT+ (HRM and Stryd and Tempe).  GPS was set at GPS only but I was using naviagation (only sporadically checking the map screens).

    The 9.5 hours took 55% of the battery life leaving me with 45% left.  Extrapolating this out would mean a bit more than 17 hours of total life.  I'm not particularly jazzed about that estimate as it's well short of the numbers quoted in the marketing materials.

    Ditto.  I finally scrapped the CIQ watch faces and my day to day battery use rate has roughly been halved.

    I have to recharge my 945 every other day.  When I first got it and was training quite a bit more, it would last a week.  Any advice to get the battery to last longer would be epic.  I've got all third party notifications turned off.

    How can I know if my F945 is APAC version or not?
