The last few cycling activities I've done with my 945 seem to have had really inaccurate elevation. The last couple of rides I've also used my Edge 1000 to compare and the results seem to suggest that the 945 is over reading.
Ride with Edge 1000 vs Ride with 945
Uploading the 945 ride to Strava and correcting the elevation using their algorithm gives an elevation of 1232m
So, in essence, I have the following elevation results for the same ride
Edge 1000 | Forerunner 945 | Strava (corrected) | |
Elevation (m) | 1097 | 1451 | 1232 |
My 945 is running firmware version 4.40, and Altimeter Calibration is set to Use DEM, Auto Cal. is set to At Start
Anyone seen similar and have any ideas how to improve accuracy?
Thanks!
