Audio Prompts during course

Hi all,

I have audio prompts set up to give me interval times for every 500 meters running. That normally works perfect for me for a free (unnavigated) run.

But when I run a course that I uploaded these audio prompts are not there. Also, the watch does not pick up the activity as a run.

I expect this to be a feature that is available, so I think I am combining navigation, courses and running incorrectly on the watch. What do I do wrong?

don’t have a 945 but it sounds like you might be using the navigation activity rather than open the Run activity, long press menu button and scroll down to Navigation, set up the course then start the actual run timer. These are based on the 5x but should be similar. In your case you did a ‘pure” navigation activity when you want to do a run activity then initiate the navigation. Again - only basing this on similar discussions with the Felix series.

that could be it, thank you. I will do a test run after breakfast - this surely is a different path towards the navi for me.

yUnfortunately no success yet, as now my test run wasn't registered at all. But that will be me making a different error I think. Will try again later today.

Ok, dumb question - you did actually start the run activity (screens showing time, distance etc). Somebody on this forum should be able to walk through the 945 steps. If she will let me I’ll borrow my wife’s 945 and try it.

You have to start your activity as "run". On the activity's start screen (or later, after starting the activity) press the middle left button (or hold it, if you already started the activity) and select "navigation". There you can select your course and start it. Don't forget to start your activity afterwards if you did not already do so.
