I've been using my 945 for about 10 months now with a good mix of outdoor running, indoor running, and power-based cycling.
Recently, I've stopped running outside. I know the VO2 max for running requires outdoor running, so as expected, I have not had an updated VO2 max value for running in quite some time.
However, yesterday I did a long indoor run and my VO2 max for running jumped from 59 to 72. In case you're curious, my race predictor now says that I can run a marathon in 2:36, which is only 24 minutes faster than my aspirational goal that I've never even gotten close to attaining, and an hour faster than my most recent marathon.
Last VO2 run reading is from March 22 @ 59
Current 4-week period does not show a VO2 run reading
6-month trend shows the jump in VO2 run to 72
FWIW, my last outdoor runs were on 4/6, 3/30, and 3/24. Ironically, I biked on 3/22, which was previously my most recent VO2 running max reading.
Any idea what could have caused this crazy jump? It's certainly not my fitness level.
