Display gets dark when bright colors should be displayed

I just received a new Forerunner 945 and right after powering it on i experienced a problem

with the display.

Everytime some menu item is displayed with a partially or fully bright (white) background the backlight / display

gets dark and nothing can be read properly.

If the background should be completely bright with only black text in front you can't make out anything on the screen.

If it is only partial it looks very dark, like the backlight is only set to 5%.

I upgraded to the newest Firmware and also tried a Reset. Nothing helped so far.

I have exactly the same problem. Did you find a fix? When I try to reset it, the screen just goes black and nothing happens?

Found no fix. I returned the clock and got a refund.

Yup, same problem, no fix that I've found so far.

Same problem here. It was broken. Returned it and got back another new unit that works fine.
