Audio prompts cause music to stop

Does anyone else have an issue where music stops after a lap alert audio prompt?  I've had this happen using all recent software versions.  I've only had it happen late in longer runs (after 6 miles), and not on every long run.  It might be happening when the audio prompt coincides with the end of a song.  It isn't a major problem - I can open the music settings and press play, and the music resumes.  I'm using "My Music" and Powerbeats Pro headphones.  I saw a similar issue discussed on a 2-year old thread about the Garmin 645.

  • Audio prompts are gone for me completely, using 245m. My music on Spotify remains playing

  • I have this same issue with my 945, it started a week ago and have to manually start the music playing again. It's frustrating and I can't find a solution anywhere online. I've checked the audio prompts section and there are no options that seem relevant.

  • the solution is simple, use your mobile phone to listen music and audio prompts via Garmin Connect together, with this i never had a prob and of course, it's not frustating

  • Not sure you're understanding the problem, or I'm not understanding what you're suggesting. I do use the audio prompts via Garmin connect and music both through my mobile phone while I run. The problem is that the audio prompt every mile stops the music entirely and I have to manually restart it. I'd prefer like before that the audio prompt just pause the music for 5 seconds while it says my pace, then the music goes back to playing automatically.

  • yes, i use it over mobile phone, because over FR945 it sucks and i am sure it won't fixed very soon

  • sadly - the more I use the 945 - the more I agree. There is so many things broken and things which should work but don't - its really questioning the price I paid for it.

To add to  comment - I'm on FW 4.11 and my audio prompts don't stop the music, but then I have other audio issues
