no audio prompts with 4.40

I was recently updated to 4.40 and now I no longer have audio prompts. Before it successfully updated to 4.40 I had it drain the battery completely over night after it said audio update. Then the firmware updated to 4.40. I see audio prompts are still turned on but they don't work anymore. I've tried to turn them off and back on. I've also fully powered off the watch doing the long press on the power button until it turns off which didn't fix it.

The watch still vibrates when I get out of range. For example I have a prompt to let me know when I exceed HR zone2. It beeps/vibrates but no longer gives me the audio. I also don't get the mile marker audio with lap/pace information.

Anyone know how to reflash the audio firmware?

I have the same issue. Audio prompts have stopped working (although they're enabled in settings) - and this seems to have occurred when the upgrade to 4.40 took place.

Hmmm, plugged it in via USB cable and let it sync via Garmin Express, and it now seems to be working. It's still running 4.40, so not entirely sure why it would have stopped (and now started) working. Garmin software quality again... :-/

Sound prompts appeared after synchronization via USB cable with Garmin Express.

I have this problem and syncing with Garmin Express via USB cable did NOT fix the issue.

Running 4.40.

Any other suggestions to fix this? Wait for a firmware update? I hope Garmin is aware of this issue.

My voice prompts recently stopped working as well. Strangely, they work when listening to music from the watch, but DO NOT work when listening to Sirius from my phone.

I called Garmin and as usual, they took my info and said they would research and call back. They never called back. I’ve been a Garmin fan for a long time, but noticed their customer service and watch quality continues to slip...

Hope a competitor comes out with something better soon!

Out of interest, what sort of phone? Since the original issue, audio prompts have worked without issue when listening to music from the watch. However, I have occasionally had issues when listening to music (Spotify rather than Sirius) on my phone (Hauwei) which I'd put down to Android battery optimisation causing issues with the Garmin app... But maybe not?

Did you ever get yours back? I lost mine when listening to audio on my phone on Monday. But if I'm just doing a walking activity without listening to anything then I get the prompts. I still get the prompts when streaming from watch to headphones. I'm using a Samsung s10. This is probably a connect issue? The watch firmware didn't update recently...
