  • These new language translation files are intended for screwed 4.40 firmware which has untranslated workout menu labels out of the box.

My watches have also received these files a few minutes ago when I've launched sync over WiFi, and now those labels are localized.

So the files are not something that prepares the device for new firmware version, but something that fixes current 4.40 firmware which is a bit unbaked.

But 4.41 Beta has already been published, so there will be another public release sooner or later anyway, but the fact that they published language files for 4.40 firmware rather than dropping a ball on it and make the community just wait for another release for translated labels means for me that their new public release will be ready likely later than sooner

  • Updated to the latest firmware and two days ago I went for a training about 100km from my place and GPS could not be fixed for around two hours.

Happened to me for the first time ever since I've bought 945.  Hope it will never happen again :)

  • has someone else not detect the race metrics with the hrm-run band???

  • Open Garmin Express but still 4.20. Can someone advise me how to upgrade

  • Ok, It seems that for GPS+Galileo I cant get GPS fix

When I switched to GPS+GLONASS it works.

Does anyone else has issues with Galileo and GPS 4.10 ?

  • I've been having massive GPS issues the past few weeks since 4.40. Sometimes the track when compared to the map has shifted a couple hundred yards south west. It's exactly the same shape route just not the roads I've taken. Other times the outward part of the run is all over the place before it seeks to get ok for the return part of the loop. Stranger still is I only experience this on the run profile. The cycle profile seems to track much better even though I have the same GPS settings for both.

  • Hi, I checked with Garmin Express couple of times today. My Forerunner 945 firmware is still 4.20. Can anyone advise how to upgrade or how long does it take for Garmin to roll out to its all devices?

  • Better check if you don't have an APAC version of 945. Check the languages available or search this forum to find out.

  • I only use OHR.

Yes, especially for walking (now at corona-times) I dont want 3 or 4 short activities but only 1. That´s why I stop this activity and try to start it later. During the activity itself everything works fine. Only the time between (may be 2 - 5h) isnt recorded at all. Only see a flat BodyBattery line during that time.

  • i think that couldn't work, your workout is more or less active, even if you stopped!

i do mostly 20.000 steps a day, but i never start an walking activity for it, because it's not worth, instead my steps will count with "Move IQ" and Body battery works totally fine
