I’ve been using round trip routing on my 945 for a long time now for road bike riding. Ones of the main features of the watch for me. Sure, it’s take me down the odd random path which was a little unsuitable for a road bike but yesterday was outrageous.
It took me properly off-road down the side of a field and through multiple dirt/gravel lanes.
My assumption is that Gravel Riders have invaded the popularity routing somehow (I saw a couple whizz past me as I was carefully working my way through them all). Is anyone else experiencing this? I imagine it’s riders who haven’t bothered to delve deep enough into the settings to change it to Gravel. Do Garmin need to make the different settings more obvious - replace “Bike” with a few options “Road Bike”, “Gravel Bike” etc. With the increase in popularity of Gravel Riding I can only see this happening more and more which would ruin this valuable Garmin feature.
Anyone else having a similar issue?
