Virtual Run pace / speed vs treadmill profile and zwift

Hi all,

when using the treadmill profile, my 945 seems ok ish. I calibrate it quite often and it is near enough.

However, when I switch to the virtual run profile and connect to zwift it reports a significantly faster pace to zwift.

I ran a mile with the treadmill profile. Saved and did the same on virtual run profile.  Very different paces from both when the treadmill was set to same speed.

Does the virtual run profile not use the treadmill calibration?

i tried to calibrate in zwift but it failed for the slow and fast pace. Only worked for the normal pace.

I have a zwift food pod coming that a friend is lending

me to try, but I was hoping not to need one.

Assuming I do use the zwift foot pod, I assume I connect it directly to zwift and then use the treadmill profile to capture the activity to Garmin connect? And that I use the broadcast HR function to get my HR to both Zwift and garmin?

Or can I just broadcast hr to zwift and not record to the watch and upload the run from zwift to garmin connect?

Sorry, new to both zwift and virtual run.

Thanks in advance ,

Steve
