FR 945 does not count distance any more

FR 945 run or treadmill does not count distance (Stays always  0.00) even with continously shown Updating pace (valid GPS connection/ even on indoor activity) 
Save or cancel activity leads to system crash.. any ideas?

    GPS should not be used indoors. You might well have a GPS connection to the satellites but that does not mean you will get accurate or indeed any distance especially if you are running on a treadmill. Pace is likely to be coming from the accelerometers

  • True. Sorry I did not specify correctly.

    Outdoors. Correct aquired GPS signal, starting run activity (and running) pace are updating quite good and responsive but distance is not leaving 0,00km at all. Always thought it‘s a GPS issue.

    Indoors. I tried it also indoors (treadmill activity with GPS deactivated). Same result. Pedometer creates real paceing values, time is ticking, heartrate working but just no distance movement... 0,00km! 

    Any try to abort or save the activity with 0 km lets the system crash and need a hard reset to try again :-(

    One week ago everything was fine, maybe since the last firmware update.

  • Go to Settings, System, About. What GPS version is showing? Connect to Garmin Express, sync and apply any updates.

    Then:

    1. Hard reset. Sync first then press and hold top left until power down. Restart. Test.

    2. If that doesn't work, try reset to Factory Defaults. Test

    3. Contact Garmin Support.
