That pesky Spotify

So this has now happened to me 3 times.  

I do not use Spotify.  I have never used Spotify.

But even though I have deleted it from my 945, somehow it keeps finding its way in there as one of my Music Providers.  It even seems to be set as the default music provider because once it gets reinstalled I keep getting notifications that it needs subscription support etc.

The solution is to uninstall it using the Connect IQ app, but it's pretty annoying it's a zombie and keeps coming back.  Anybody else having this problem?

  • I had it come back two times. Last week I got rid of it and it seems for good. What I did was delete it via the watch and then the CIQ app.

    Normally the app should recognize it gone from the watch, it didn't in my case. Maybe it was because I did it quickly I don't know, but after wiping it out in both places I did a hard reset of the watch and force stopped the CIQ app and GCM (for good measure) before the watch restarted. Cleared out both apps cache for too. Haven't seen Spotify since.

  • That's roughly been my timeline too (had it come back last week).  Hopefully it's gone for good too.
