I’m facing the problem with altitude estimation on my Garmin Forerunner 945 when skiing. I went uphill by rope way from 1300 meters to cca 2200 meters. On the top I started the skiing activity and did downhill the slope to 1700 meters. But my Forerunner estimated altitude 290 meters. There is a “jump” on the altimeter and barometer history (see the attachment).
- Do you think that is some barometer failure or it could be somehow connected to GPS auto calibration that was switched on during activity? Any help appreciated.
