REALLY BAD SKIN BURNING!!!

Former Member
Former Member

Hey everyone,

New to the forum, but having some really bad skin irritation and burning from my Garmin Forerunner 945's silicone band.  IT HURTS!!! I have gotten burns, blisters, and bleeding from this band.  I've tried everything from vigorous cleaning and care of both my wrist and watch, to adjusting position and fit. I've done everything Garmin has recommended for there care instructions and even had to stop wearing it for a few weeks to let my wrist heal from the watch caused injury.

With all that said, if Garmin even hints this injury is caused by user error, even in the slightest, after this explanation and photo I'll be quite irritated.

I'm at the point now where I've set up a point with my physician to see if he believes the problem is because of my skin or my watch.

If any of you have had the same issue with silicone bands or skin allergies I'd love to here about it or any suggestions you may have!

Thanks again to all of you who can offer help!

If you look at the photo you can see where it has been bleeding recently too.

  • It's important that you contact Garmin directly via their support site. This forum is a user-to-user community forum, so there is no guarantee that Garmin staff will respond. Nonetheless, they will ask that you contact the Garmin Support Center via phone, chat, or email.

Also, as mentioned here: Skin irritation

  • seilogramp is correct. We take complaints of skin irritation very seriously and ask you to reach out to us directly at support.garmin.com since we will need to gather information that we would not ask for in the public forums. Also, our support center will connect you with your local support team which helps us expedite this process as much as we can for you.
