It just got worse. 2h ride from 99% to 35%. I never had this draining before.
Yeah! I was waiting such comment. Let's forget Garmin doubled battery drain! Forget about specs, just do sports! :)
Do you realize that it can be a new slogan?
But it doesn't matter. It matter only…
Have you tried this? drain the battery until the Garmin 945 turns off, then charge up to 100%. The battery performs the new calibration. On my 945 the calibration done in this way solved the problem
for me it's 50:50
without hard reset before a recharge, i have 50% more battery drain, with hard reset it is normal battery drain and of course again the Connect IQ Android App makes problem, there is something with wrong BLT communication in the background, now i uninstalled the App and drain is again better now!
I'm charging my 945 right now (7% left) after 9 days and 10 hours since last charge. I've done roughly 7 hours worth of GPS running activities and wore it 24x7. No 3rd-party faces (but I briefly tried a few in this last cycle) and only one widget installed (Battery Info). I updated it from 4.0.6 to 4.10 while I was around 45/50% (I kept it connected only for the time needed to download the update and sync, the watch got charged by 2/3%). I can't complain about battery! :-)
On a side note, I have no Music providers installed (Spotify, Deezer). I think Music has a huge impact on battery even if you never listen to it. Maybe there is some background activity to keep the Music synced, I don't know...
Cheers

It is normal battery drain. You have 6-7% per day without GPS. I have 12% per day without GPS/PulseOx/BT or maximum 8 days. With GPS/BT it will be 4-5 days, even not a whole week. Battery drain doubled from normal since November 2019 and Garmin can't do anything for 3 months.
I'm at .17%/hr at 95% remaining ...seems so far lower than 3.3. Here are my settings in case they help anyone:
1) Wifi = off
2) Garmin pay = on
3) All day PulseOx = off
4) Activity PulseOx = off
4) Backlight = always off
5) Sounds = off
6) Vibration = on
7) Smart notifications = on
8) TrueUp = off
9) Activity tracking = on
10) Widgets = Notifications, Weather, Calendar, Stress, PulseOx, Heart Rate, Performance, Training Status, Battery Monitor
11) Music Providers = Control Phone
Running a test for the next few weeks with no activities.
Update: .203%/hr at 90% remaining (tracking this here mostly for my own curiosity)
Update: .215%/hr at 80% remaining
Update: .25%/hr at 67.5% remaining
Update: .26%/hr at 60% remaining
Update: .257%/hr at 50% remaining

This right here,
Is the way everyone should be posting.
SW 4.10 fixed the battery drain for me. Now it is about 0.2%/hr, which is way better than it ever was on my watch. Hopefuly Garmin will not screw this again when trying to fix some other issues in the upcoming sw updates..
that means in 24 hours you have arround 4,8% ?
pulse ox disabled during sleep?
