Training Session estimated time

Is it possible to see “estimated time” for a session (in training program)?

If not, can be developed the calculation in the app?

  • In the Coach program for the Half Marathon (which I'm currently using), the workouts are measured in time, not distance.  If you add up the time of each of the steps, you'll end up with the total time of the workout.  (Of course, then the problem is that I don't know how far from home I'll be at the end of the workout...  Never satisfied.)

  • Thanks you Fredrik for the answer.

I understand what you mean. But I don't understand why the clock (or the app) doesn't calculate and show the "ideally" scheduled time for a session.

I would be very comfortable organizing my day (for example in the morning I could quickly understand if the lunch break time would be enough to complete the scheduled session).

I am following the 5K schedule but the principle is the same...

Let's assume that the session simply includes (I invent it now):
    A. 1 min warm up
    B. 1 km pace 5min / km
    C. 1min recovery
    D. 1km pace 3min / km
    E. 1min recovery
    repeat from B 5 times
    F. 1 min cool down

obviously the time needed in minutes will be:
    1+ (5 + 1 + 3 + 1) * 5 + 1 = 52

and the app and / or device could propose easily this "ideally necessary" time data together with the scheduled session.

[In the case of pace range, it could propose minimum and maximum times and / or an average ... for example:

    A. 1 min warm up
    B. 1km pace between 4 and 5min / km
    C. 1min recovery
    D. 1km pace 2 and 3 min / km
    E. 1min recovery
    repeat from B 5 times
    F. 1 min cool down

    Maximum time: 1+ (5 + 1 + 3 + 1) * 5 + 1 = 52 minutes
    Minimum time: 1+ (4 + 1 + 2 + 1) * 5 + 1 = 42 minutes
    Average time: 1+ (4.5 + 1 + 2.5 + 1) * 5 + 1 = 47 minutes]

    What do you think?
