Calorie Burn on Lap Swim Rest Periods (HRM Swim)

It’s really starting to bother me that lap swim rest periods show 0 calories burned when using the HRM Swim. Our bodies are definitely still burning calories after a hard interval, and those calories add up over the course of a workout. Am I missing a setting or is this intended behavior? I’m guessing the latter.

  • But not 'active' calories.

I don’t know. I tend to think that if it’s part of an activity it should be considered active calories, since your heart rate would be above what it would have been if you were not doing a workout. But at this point, logging any type of calorie burn through HR during the workout should be a slam dunk. I think I might file it as a bug.
